I mean, I know I'm not supposed to analyze this but... What the hell is that dude doing hugging a Panda? He looks just like some dude, did he jump into the cage? Regardless, it is a tender embrace. lol

So apparently NYC's Guyanese population has these singing bird competitions... Bets are placed and the best song wins! Unfortunately people were caught trying to smuggle birds (never good), but compared to cock/dog fighting, this is a more interesting animal contest (since it seems like it might be pretty subjective?).

K-Swift, a hugely popular and influential DJ in Baltimore died in an accident at her home. This is pretty tragic and sad, and she will be missed!

WALL-E

I saw WALL-E the other day with Y and T. It was an astounding film that can't be recommended highly enough, and one of my favorite Pixar movies. The first half is particularly remarkable. Somehow Andrew Stanton managed to make a dystopian future sci-fi movie that everyone can enjoy. It should win Best Picture, it is a masterpiece of film making.

The huge corporation in the movie BuyNLarge even has a pretty complete supporting website, complete with products to buy. Certain aspects of WALL-E reminded me of the future in Idiocracy, a very funny and biting satire of our potential future and/or present.
